FAQs

1. What is the difference between Hot Stamping and Cold Stamping?

• Hot stamping is a type of thermal transfer printing which is done using a cliché with the "art" that presses the foil and is stamped using a temperature from 100º to 300º C. It is used to print on paper, plastic, curpiel substrates, among others.

• In Cold Stamping a metallic film is transferred through a UV adhesive that is stamped by means of a Flexographic, Offset or Digital machine.

Mainly cold stamping is done on labels and packaging of many sizes.

2. What measures do you handle in the master roll of film for stamping?

• In Hot Stamping the measurements of the rolls are:

o 64cm x 120m
o 64cm x 240m
o 64cm x 300m
o 61cm x 122m
o 61cm x 244m

• In Cold Stamping the measurements of the roll are:

o 127 cm x 1524 m (minimum size)
o 127 cm x multiples of 1524 m
o 127 cm x 6096 m (maximum size)
